Description
To plan, organize, direct evaluate and coordinate the activities of the services comprising the City library; and to provide highly responsible, professional, and technical staff assistance. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Administrative direction is provided by the Deputy City Manager. Exercises direct and indirect supervision over professional, technical and clerical staff.

Requirements

Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:

Ten years of increasing responsible professional experience as a librarian with five years supervising professionals.

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis on the Liberal Arts and a Masters of Library Science from an accredited library school.
