Under supervision of the Director of Administrative Services, the Finance Manager will oversee the finance and accounting services that include general accounting, accounts payable, water billing, business license, auditing, bond administration, investment coordination and financial reporting.
The Finance Manager functions as a division head within the Administrative Services Department. Under direction of the Director of Administrative Services, the Finance Manager is responsible for supervising, planning and coordinating the financial recording keeping and reporting for both the City and Redevelopment Agency.
Responsibilities include manage and maintain the Citys Financial-Accounting control system, assist in preparing the annual budget and financial statements; prepare statements and reports on City financial affairs for City Council, administrative officials and the general public; prepare revenue, expenditure, debt and other statements; devises and recommends accounting and management procedures aimed at improving municipal operations.
We offer an annual starting salary of $110,928 to $138,468 plus excellent benefit package. Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance; and at least four (4) years in municipal finance and a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory capacity. Possession of a Certified Public Accountants certification is highly desirable, but not required. A valid CDL is required. An incumbent in this position must be able to be bonded.
