The City is seeking a Fire Chief for the overall operation of the Department, which consists of 26 employees and an annual operating budget of $5.26 million. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader with the ability to mentor and motivate employees, set goals and objectives for the department and develop positive relationships with staff, management and the city council. Must have experience in all major functions including municipal fire administration, training, fire prevention, EMS operations, wildland interface, California mutual aid system, disaster preparedness and SEMS training.

Requirements
Candidates must possess three years of command or supervisory experience in fire service and a Bachelors Degree in fire science, fire administration or a field related to the work. Additionally, Fire Officer and Chief Officer Certifications by the State Board of Fire Services are highly desired.
