Community relations manager Imelda Padilla is currently leading in election results for Los Angeles’ 6th council district. The latest tally has Padilla with 25.55% of the vote.
Marisa Alcaraz, who serves as an advisor to Councilmember Curren Price, is in second place right now with 19.24%. Journalist Rose Grigoryan and non-profit housing director Marco Santana are right behind her with 17.98% and 17.51% respectively.
The top two vote getters will face each other in a runoff this June. In order to win outright Tuesday, a candidate would have needed over 50% of the vote.
The latest results can be viewed at LAvote.gov. The next update from the L.A. County Registar's Office is Friday afternoon.
