Calling all accounting savants, process perfectionists, and professional development advocates! Nevada Irrigation District (Grass Valley, California) is seeking a Controller who will oversee the activities of the Accounting Division within the Finance Department, including six staff and several exciting projects. The Controller will have a background in government accounting and use their leadership expertise to train and inspire staff while developing more efficient processes and structures. They will report directly to the Finance Director and provide department support by being an effective communicator, motivator, timely organizer, and steadfast project manager. The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in local government auditing/ accounting, accounts payable, and payroll. NID is looking for someone who can take the Division to the next level and get things done! Having relationship-building skills is essential, as this role regularly interacts with the Board, other departments, and outside organizations. Other desirable skills include strategic thinking, creative problem solving, and people management.
