The Ventura Police Department is looking for a Police Services Officer/Senior Police Services Officer to join the team!
Police Services Officers are non-sworn ("civilian") positions responsible for a variety of duties related to the enforcement of law and order. These duties may include taking and preparing non-hazardous crime reports, providing police services information to the public, providing administrative support, and coordinating program activities and technical tasks in assigned area. The duties performed by Police Services Officers may be related to crime prevention, civilian volunteers, training coordination, station desk officer, offender registration, property and evidence processing, background investigations, traffic unit, parking enforcement, court liaison, body-worn camera and digital evidence coordination, animal control, and other administrative support tasks. This position may organize, assign, and review the work of other staff.
The City offers a total compensation package that includes both a generous salary plus excellent benefit! Salary: $47,881.60 - $64,292.80 Annually DOQ.
